-No Cell Service on the mountain so please download maps prior to arriving -Camp Nelson is a rural mountain community, so we recommend gassing up and getting all groceries in Porterville prior to arriving -Access to the river from the backyard may be strenuous down a steep slope. We recommend walking down Coy Flat Drive to the bridge which is a much more gradual walk, and then navigating down towards the river.

My family and I had a wonderful stay at Chris’ place. Cabin was as described and the outdoors was full of beautiful pine trees. Going down to the river behind the cabin is not for everyone as it’s a steep way down hill but the area is breath taking and worth going down there. We had deer passing by the cabin and around the area which was very exciting for my 7 year old. Chris’ communication was amazing. He provided clear instructions to get into the cabin and checked in on us once we arrived. Would definitely stay here again.

I had a wonderful stay at this countryside house in the forest. The place was beautiful and peaceful, and the house itself was amazing – cozy, clean, and very comfortable. I truly enjoyed my time there. Highly recommend it to everyone!

We had such a pleasant day here—off the grid and in nature. We didn’t even need to go anywhere. We enjoyed hanging at the house and hiking nearby trails and rivers. It’s a beautiful area and exceeded our expectations.

Absolutely awesome experience, cabin was amazing, private and beautiful views. Wildlife was abundant. Chris and CJ were great helping us when our dog’s cart broke down. With their recommendation we were able to get the tools nearby that we needed! Super helpful!!!!
